Before upgrading, verify your firmware version:

Press the 'HOME' button on remote to display the OSD on your TV.

Navigate to "System".

The firmware version can be found under the "Firmware Upgrade" option.
FW3.X adds the ability to pair 4 subwoofer cabinets and support for 12” subwoofers. Firmware upgrade is not required for systems on FW 2.6 that are not expanded with additional subwoofers.
